Robin is an active ensemble violinist and teacher from Columbia, South Carolina. She currently plays with the Aiken Symphony Orchestra of Aiken, South Carolina, and has received teacher training in the renowned Suzuki violin method. She has served as section leader of the Lake Murray Symphony and Palmetto Chamber Orchestras of Columbia, and has performed original music and classical masterworks in concert as part of the Epiphany Concert Series.
Her violin journey began at age 11 in public school orchestra, and has led to a lifelong passion for playing and teaching. In high school Robin performed with the Richland District 2 Honors Orchestra, which performed at New York's Carnegie Hall. She has also enjoyed playing in local nightclubs with indie and experimental rock bands. She is enthusiastic about playing music from a wide variety of genres, and is committed to sharing her knowledge and experience with students in a positive, fun environment.
Patrick Langley was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, the song and soul of the South, having a great impact on his musical journey. His journey began at the age of three, taking piano lessons and singing in the church choir. Patrick began to play the trumpet at the age of ten and quickly excelled, participating in musical groups in and outside of school. He sought opportunities to perform with groups including the Macon Symphony Orchestra and as an opening act for The Count Basie Orchestra. Patrick has since performed across the U.S. in various groups, focusing on jazz and improvisation. As a private instructor, Patrick has developed multiple teaching methods for the trumpet based on different styles and techniques, welcoming students of all skill levels and ages.
